- Open Netscape
- Select Edit/Preferences in the menu bar
- Then double click Mail & Newsgroup in the Preferences Window
- Next choose identity under Mail & Newsgroup
- Goto Identity and place your name and your EMail address(userID@bdol.com)
- Goto Mail Servers
- In Mail Servers, goto the incoming mail section
- Click on the ADD button and place in server name, server type, and user name (NOTE: Your UserID is the part of your email address before the @ symbol. For example, if your email address is Name@bdol.com, then Name is your userId. Your server name is the part after the @ symbol. Using the same example the bdol.com is the server name)
- Click OK when done filling in the information.
- Next in Mail Servers, goto the outgoing mail section and fill in your server name and user name (NOTE: if you do not understand what the server name or what the user name means, see the note above regarding how to setup incoming mail
- Finally, click OK in preferences to get out of preferences and use your email.
